Macallan Senior League Saturday 22nd August 2009
Ross County continued their unbeaten run in the Macallan Senior league with a 7 wicket victory over Huntly on Saturday. This victory now means that the side have taken maximum points in the last 4 games since Chris Blake was appointed replacement captain. Huntly batting first could only manage 120 all out as fast bowlers David Skipsey with help from Paul Moxon and Harry Tolliday set about skittling the top order. After tea, County knocked off the runs with the loss of 3 wickets. Chris Blake and Mark Watson played well to see off opening bowler Neil Nicol. With only on bruise apiece for their troubles they were rewarded with wayward bowling from the 3rd and 4th change bowlers, Watson finishing with a fine unbeaten 52 and Blake with 29. County are at home on Saturday to Forres, 1pm start, all welcome.
